The event is open to all young scientists in grades K-8. This is a great opportunity for our budding scientists to investigate, explore, and report on those natural phenomena that stimulate their young, creative minds.

To view the list of courses, please click on the "Class Registration" icon located in the navigation menu on the left side of the parent portal screen. Please note, if your child has an IEP, all recommendations will be discussed and courses finalized at your child’s CSE annual review meeting.
Parents of Students in Grade 5: If you have questions regarding a recommended support class, please contact your child’s current 5th grade teacher or Patricia Quinn-Hendry, Comprehensive Literacy Chairperson K-12, at 516-308-5153. Any other schedule questions or concerns can be made directly to the Berner Guidance Department by Friday, February 14, 2025.
Parents of Students in Grade 6: If you have questions regarding regents/accelerated level designations or recommended support classes, please contact your child’s current sixth grade teacher. Any other requests for a course change must be made directly with the Berner Guidance Department by Friday, February 14, 2025.

Dear Massapequa Community,
The Massapequa Board of Education cordially extends an invitation to all community members who would like to serve on the Board's Athletic Advisory committee. The Board has established this committee to provide input and guidance to the Board regarding the development, maintenance and improvement of the District’s athletic programs and facilities. The committee will serve as an advisory body, offering recommendations on how to strengthen the athletic program while fostering positive sportsmanship, community engagement and student-athlete development.
The Athletic Advisory Committee will be comprised of a diverse group of stakeholders representing the District’s interests. The committee members will be appointed by the Board of Education based on an application process and will include:
1-2 Board of Education Representative
7 School District Staff Members
2 Community Members representing parents of student-athletes
2 Student Athletes (one male and one female)
1-2 At large participants with specific expertise in athletics such as coaches or referees.
