Registration for all Recreation Programs will take place at the end of May, dates to be announced in April. Programs are contingent upon the passing of the 2026 school district budget.

The Elementary Program is for students entering grades K-5 in September 2026. Participants must be Massapequa School District 23 Residents.

• Program runs for five consecutive weeks.

• Lunch is from 12-1PM. You must provide your child with lunch if they are staying for the lunch hour or they must be signed out if you will be picking them up.

• Children are grouped by grade, boys and girls are separated for grouping purposes only.

• Activities are as follows:

  • Outdoor/Indoor Games

  • Group Activities

  • Movies

  • Sports

  • Arts and Crafts

• Weekly newsletters will be distributed from each program with upcoming events.

• Trips are an additional fee, first come basis once permission slip and fees are received. Students not attending trips will continue with a normal camp day. 

• On the last day the program ends at Noon.

The Teen Program is for students entering grades 6-8 in September 2026. Participants must be Massapequa School District 23 Residents.

• Program runs for five consecutive weeks.

• Students are NOT permitted to leave for lunch. You must provide your child with lunch.

• Activities include:

  • Game Room

  • Sports

  • Indoor/Outdoor Activities

  • Arts and Crafts Center

• Weekly newsletter will be distributed with upcoming events.

• Trips are an additional fee, first come basis once permission slip and fees are received. Students not attending trips will continue with a normal camp day. 

• On the last day the program ends at 11:30AM.

Various sport camps will be held for various age groups. The schedule and cost of each camp will be announced at the end of April. Participants must be Massapequa School District 23 Residents.

Weekly Recreational Basketball for students entering Grades 4-7

• Monday - Thursday evenings, mid-June until the end of July

• 45 minute time slots)

• No experience needed

• Captains are responsible for forming a team and registering all players. The Recreation Office will NOT place players on a team.
