Information on the 2026 Summer Programs
The Massapequa School District is pleased to share important information about our 2026 Summer Programs. Please view the 2026 Summer Program Information Letter for future registration dates, links to camp brochures and ArbiterSports, along with notes specific to each program.
Since these programs are contingent on the school budget passing, registration will open after the school budget vote. Dedicated webpages for each program will be published at that time.
Summer Fine Arts Camps
Summer Fine Arts 2026 Dates: Monday, July 6, through Friday, August 7, 2026
Registration opens May 20, 2026 at 10:00 AM
Program includes Music, Musical Theater, and Visual Arts for students entering grades 1-12 in September 2026

Summer Fine Arts Positions: Student Assistant and College Assistant

Summer Recreation Program

Summer Recreation Positions: Student Volunteer, Student Leader and College Assistant

Summer Robotics Camps
Lego Robotics Camp 2026 Dates: Monday, August 3, 2026 through Thursday, August 6, 2026
Registration opens May 20, 2026 at 10:00 AM
For students entering grades 6–9 in September 2026
Focuses on designing, building, and programming Lego robots, with a mock competition

VEX Robotics Camp Dates: Monday, July 27, 2026 through Thursday, July 30, 2026
Registration opens May 20, 2026 at 10:00 AM
For students entering grades 10–12 in September 2026
Prepares students for robotics competitions using VEX robots

Summer Sports Camps
Summer Sports Camp 2026 Dates: Monday, June 29, 2026, through Friday, July 31, 2026.

Various sports camps for students entering grades K-12 in 2026

Camp Invention
Camp Invention 2026 Dates: August 3 to August 7, 2026 from 8:15 AM to 2:30 PM and August 10 to August 14, 2026 from 8:15 AM to 2:30 PM
Registration opens March 16, 2026
A STEM-focused camp for students currently in Grades K-5
Activities include designing games, solving global challenges, and prototyping

Camp Invention Leadership Interns (LI) Volunteers
Camp Invention, a one-week STEM camp, will take place at Unqua Elementary School. If interested in becoming a Camp Invention Volunteer Intern, please complete the Camp Invention Volunteers Application by May 15, 2026. You may apply for one or both sessions. Volunteers receive 40 hours of community service for each session worked:
Under the Lights Basketball
Under the Lights Basketball 2026 Dates: Game nights are Monday through Thursday June 15, 2026 through July 30, 2026

Recreational basketball games for students entering Grades 4–7 in September 2026
Students form their own teams

Team captains are responsible for registering and paying for their teams
Teams must consist of students in the same grade, with 8–12 players per team
