As 579 kindergartners arrived on Sept. 3, it marked the beginning of an educational journey that will span the rest of this decade and the next. The six elementary schools joyfully welcomed the Massapequa High School Class of 2039 on the second full day of the new school year.
Administrators, teachers and staff came together to welcome the district’s youngest learners and future leaders, bringing them from the walker and busser entrances to their new classrooms. Kindergartners unpacked supplies, did some first-day coloring projects, began learning classroom routines and heard about all the wonders ahead for them in the coming year.
