The laughs were plentiful and the water fights were welcome on the summerlike day as fifth graders at Unqua Elementary School had their year-end picnic at nearby Marjorie Post Park.
Wearing their navy blue Class of 2026 T-shirts, the soon-to-be elementary school graduates enjoyed several hours of fun and camaraderie. They played sports, enjoyed carnival games, competed in relay races and danced to music provided by a DJ. Lunch from the Guac Shop was provided by the fifth grade parents committee.
The year-end picnic is an annual tradition for Unqua fifth graders as one of their final gatherings together as elementary students.
