Dear Lockhart Families: The John Thiessen Toy Drive dropped off boxes in our main lobby and is collecting new, unwrapped toys for ages infant-17 years old. The boxes will be in the lobby until 12/23. Please consider donating to this wonderful charity.
Dear Lockhart Families: Sales continue this week of numerous items, with ALL items coming with raffle tickets to put towards the student raffles! Lucky Ducks, friendship bracelets, and many other items are being sold for 1 for $3 and 2 for $5 with all proceeds going towards our Make A Wish campaign! Make sure to get your raffle tickets and help benefit our Make A Wish campaign! Also, parents have the opportunity for VIP seats at both the Winter concerts and Moving Up ceremony. Dear Lockhart Families: Tonight is our Make A Wish Frozen Night from 5:00-6:30 in the GP Room. If anyone would still like to attend, we have spots remaining and you can buy a ticket at the door. Students can come into the GP Room when they arrive and we will dismiss from the front doors at 6:30.

On the morning of Wednesday 12/3, we will be completing a scheduled Grade 5 student password update. As such, your child’s classroom teacher will be distributing a new password at the start of the school day.
Please note the following:
Students will not be able to sign-in on 12/3 with their old password.
If a student is absent from class on this day and needs access to their account, please visit the Parent Portal Portfolio Tab to access your child’s password.

Dear Lockhart Families: As part of our Make A Wish campaign, we will be hosting a "Frozen Night" fundraiser on December 8, from 5:00-6:30. Students in grades K-5 can purchase tickets for $10, with all proceeds going to Make A Wish. This is a student only event (no parents) and will be capped at 150 students. During the event, students will be treated to two Frozen shorts, receive a cookie and a gift bag, and do some coloring and sing along activities! Staff will be here to have a great time with the kids and continue to raise money for a great cause. Kids are invited to wear pajamas to make the event even more special. Below is a flyer with a tear off to send in the money and a hard copy is going home. Once the 150 student limit is reached, we will not be able to accept any late entries or no walk ins. All money is due by 12/4.

Dear Lockhart Families: Tomorrow is our rapid dismissal drill with all students being dismissed 15 minutes early at 2:40. Please be outside the dismissal doors for this time. As part of this drill, there are no After School Clubs for students, however, the YMCA after care will run as usual.
Dear Lockhart Families: As part of our Make A Wish campaign, we always have a Pajama Day fundraiser on the last day before Thanksgiving break. On Tuesday, 11/25, we invite all staff and students to wear pajamas and we ask for a $2 donation to help raise money for Make A Wish! Students can give the money to their teacher. Get cozy on the last day before the short break and give to a great cause as well.
