Berner Middle School’s annual Adventureland trip is tomorrow! Here are a few friendly reminders to assure that everyone is prepared for our exciting day!
Students should arrive at school at the regular scheduled start time and report to homeroom as usual.
The weather forecast is 68 degrees, with a slight chance of rain developing in the afternoon. Students should dress for the weather, as Adventureland will remain open with light rain. The trip will run as scheduled, unless Adventureland closes due to inclement weather. Please dress accordingly and be mindful of the school dress code.
Attendance on the trip includes a park bracelet with access to all park rides.
Lunch is NOT included in admission. Students may bring their own lunch or purchase food at the park.
Adventureland accepts cash, debit cards, and credit cards.
While additional money is not required, it is suggested as many concessions stands and games will be open and available.
Students do not need to bring their backpacks to school. Sling bags may be a helpful alternative to hold belongings while at the park.
Chromebooks are to be left at home or stored in lockers. They will not be permitted on the trip.
For ride and park safety, we ask students to leave their IDs in their bags or lockers.
All personal items should be carried by students at all times. The school is not responsible for items lost on the trip.
Personal items should not be left on the buses while students are in the park.
Electronics such as cell phones and AirPods are allowed at Adventureland; however, the school is not responsible if they are lost, damaged/or stolen.
As the end of the year approaches us, a fun-filled day is well deserved. We are excited to see everyone tomorrow!
Thank you,

Dear Parents/Guardians,
We are writing to bring your attention to a dangerous trend that has recently emerged on social media. This trend encourages users to microwave gel-filled toys, such as NeeDoh and similar products. These actions can cause the toys to rupture or explode, potentially resulting in serious burns and injuries.
As a community, it is important that we stay informed about emerging trends that may unknowingly put our children at risk. We believe it is essential to make you aware of this particularly hazardous behavior involving popular toys so that you can discuss it with your child or children, if appropriate. The safety of our students remains our top priority.
As always, we encourage parents and guardians to maintain ongoing conversations with their children about responsible social media use, the importance of sound judgment, and the potential risks and consequences associated with participating in viral challenges.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
Sincerely,
The Massapequa School District
Dear Berner Middle School Families,
With spring weather finally here, it’s wonderful to see our students soaking up the sun! As the weather warms up, we are asking for your partnership in ensuring our students continue to dress appropriately for school. Please review the following reminders with your child:
Midriffs and undergarments must be fully covered by outer clothing. Tops that are strapless, have plunging necklines, or are see-through are not permitted.
Clothing should provide appropriate coverage; extremely brief items, such as short-shorts or mini-skirts, are not suitable for the school day.
Hats, baseball caps, and athletic headbands need to be removed before entering the school building.
Safe, secure footwear should be worn to prevent accidents during the school day.
Please note that if a student’s attire isn't deemed school-appropriate, we may contact you to bring a change of clothes.
Thank you so much for your continued support and enjoy the warm weather!
