Dear Grade 9 Parents/Guardians and Students,
On the morning of Wednesday 12/17, we will be completing a scheduled Grade 9 student password update. As such, Period 1 teachers will be distributing new passwords at the start of the school day.
Please note the following:
Students will not be able to sign-in on 12/17 with their old password.
If a student is absent from class on this day and needs access to their account, please visit the Parent Portal Portfolio Tab to access student passwords.
Thank you for all your support. If you have any questions, please contact your building Computer TA.

Dear Ames Parents/Guardians,
As we had shared with you prior to the Thanksgiving holiday, the Nassau County Police Department presented a program during this morning’s student assembly regarding awareness and the dangers of fentanyl. As a follow up to the student assembly program, we invite you to view the following video, and then encourage you to watch it together with your child: Dead on Arrival (Fentanyl Documentary).
The video is approximately 20 minutes in length. Please note that this video was not included in today’s presentation, but this video is a resource that can serve as an opportunity for you and your child to engage in an important dialogue about the dangers of fentanyl.
Again, our goal is the education of our students regarding harmful behaviors, and the prevention of such behavior in concert with the guidance and support of our parents/guardians. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us or any member of the Ames Campus staff should you have any questions or require further support in this regard.
Sincerely,
Tania M. Willman, Principal
Danielle E. Kennedy, Executive Assistant to the Principal
