Next week, we will begin Regents Exam Review Sessions in the areas of Science (Earth & Space Sciences, Life Science: Biology Accelerated) followed by Mathematics (Algebra I, Geometry) in the week after. Each of the sessions are held after the instructional school day during 10th period. The schedules for both Science and Mathematics are outlined as follows: Ames Campus Regents Review Sessions
Please note that these review sessions are being offered in addition to other ongoing support such as Extra-Help and Learn at Lunch. Students are encouraged to access these opportunities as they continue to work towards a strong academic finish to their freshman year of high school.

Sign in to the Parent Portal Web - https://msdps.powerschool.com/public (Report Cards not available through the Parent Portal App)
Click the Student Reports icon located in the navigation menu.
Under Archived Reports, select the report card.
If you need help accessing your Parent Portal account, please use the “Forgot Username or Forgot Password” link. If you continue to experience issues, email our PowerSchool support team at powerschool@msd.k12.ny.us. For questions about classes or grades, please contact your child’s teacher or guidance counselor.

Dear Ames Families,
Yesterday, April 20th, marked the beginning of the fourth and final marking quarter of the 2025-2026 school year. Once the third quarter grades and teacher comments are finalized in PowerSchool later this week, please review the information in the portal regarding students' performance and/or areas of concern. After reviewing these grades and comments, students and parents are encouraged to communicate directly with the appropriate classroom teacher and/or guidance counselor with any further questions.
As a reminder for this week, we look forward to welcoming Massapequa School District alumni at our annual Alumni Career Day on Friday, April 24th. The students will be following an adjusted bell schedule to support the panel discussions for the program that day: Alumni Career Day Bell Schedule. Students will be afforded the opportunity to learn about a variety of careers and experiences from former graduates.
In addition, please note that we will still continue to exercise a variety of mandatory emergency management drills throughout the remainder of the school year. Next week, we will be conducting a lockdown drill. A school lockdown is a procedure used when there is an immediate and imminent threat inside the school building. In the event of a lockdown, parents will not be able to sign-out children until the circumstances have been deemed safe. We continue to work in collaboration with our District Security team and Nassau County Police Department in an effort to support the safety of all students and staff in our school community.

Dear Ames Families,
Hopefully this email finds you well as we continue to move forward in the spring season. As we have seen throughout the year, students remain dedicated to and involved in a variety of engaging and exciting activities. We continue to be proud of their efforts and achievements across all areas within and beyond the school day.
This past month, our school community supported World Down Syndrome Day, which included “Rock Your Socks!”. Today is World Autism Awareness Day and students and staff are supporting Autism Acceptance by wearing blue. Students and staff are encouraged to continue wearing blue on Fridays throughout the remaining month of April.
Looking ahead, the third marking period draws to an end on Friday, April 17th. Students are encouraged to continue accessing opportunities for support available through Extra-Help and Learn-at-Lunch. Furthermore, school will be closed from Thursday, April 2nd through and including Friday, April 10th for Spring Recess.
