Ms. Coletta’s 4th graders took math learning to the next level.
To review key concepts from last year and kick off our upcoming unit, students worked together to create a giant line plot right in the front of the classroom. Using task cards, they collaborated, discussed strategies, and applied their thinking in a hands-on, engaging way.
This interactive lesson was incredibly valuable, as it allowed students to revisit important skills such as number lines, adding and subtracting fractions, and understanding equivalent fractions—all while building teamwork and problem-solving skills.
It was amazing to see their excitement and confidence grow as they worked through each challenge together. We are so proud of their hard work and can’t wait to see them continue to build on these skills in our next unit!
