The week before Christmas break, 4th graders in Ms. Coletta's class, embarked on a truly magical Christmas journey around the world.  Each day, they traveled to a new country to discover how Christmas is celebrated across different cultures and traditions. Through engaging short videos and rich nonfiction texts, students explored customs, symbols, foods, and celebrations that make each country unique.

Along the way, students strengthened important research skills, learning how to identify primary and secondary sources, gather information, and think critically about what they were reading and viewing. Students didn’t just answer questions; they learned how to ask thoughtful questions, make connections, and reflect on what they discovered.

The classroom was filled with curiosity, excitement, and meaningful conversations as students realized that while traditions may look different around the world, the spirit of Christmas, joy, generosity, family, and love, connects us all.

The week was the perfect blend of holiday magic and purposeful learning, reminding us that some of the most powerful lessons come from exploring the world beyond our classroom walls.
