On Monday, December 15, our 4th graders learned all about Hanukkah.
On Friday, December 19th, Ms. Coletta and Mrs. Shippos coordinated a Google Meet between their classes at Unqua and Lockhart, bringing students together to collaborate and learn something new. Ms. Coletta read a beautiful story about a little girl who celebrates both Christmas and Hanukkah, and then Mrs. Shippos, along with her student Antonio, taught both classes how to play dreidel.
Each child received their very own dreidel and Hanukkah gelt, making the experience even more special. This was a wonderful example of connection, culture, and community, proof that learning is even more powerful when we learn together.
