Dear Grade 4 Parents/Guardians,
All Grade 4 students will be exchanging their currently assigned Chromebook for a new Chromebook in the coming weeks.
Please note the following: If applicable, please remove any personal protective cases from the Chromebook. Students need to bring their current fully charged Chromebook and charger to school on the date indicated by their classroom teacher. Students will keep their current Chromebook bag. The new Chromebook will have a district-issued protective cover that must remain attached at all times. (This is in addition to their Chromebook bag that must be used when the Chromebook is not in-use.) The new Chromebooks may have limited/no battery charge. Teachers have been informed and will plan accordingly.
Thank you, The Massapequa School District

Dear Fairfield Families,
Due to poor weather conditions, our centennial celebration must be moved indoors today. While we had originally scheduled Thursday, May 22 as a rain date, the current forecast for that day is not favorable. As a result, we will not be utilizing the rain date.
We have made the following adjustments to our program:
The Centennial Program and Parade will be moved indoors and will be held exclusively for invited guests. Unfortunately, we are unable to have parents attend the indoor program and parade.
While we regret that the general public and parents will not be able to attend the indoor program and parade in person, we will be recording the events and sharing a video link so that all families can enjoy the celebration virtually.
The PTA has postponed the after-school portion of our centennial celebration.
We are pleased to confirm that the PTA Basket Raffle will continue today in the auditorium.
We appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we prioritize the safety and comfort of our students and guests. Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm as we honor 100 years of excellence and community.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Dano, Ms. Pavlick, & The Fairfield Centennial Committee

Dear Fairfield Families and Staff,
Due to the forecasted rain, the PTA has made the decision to reschedule the PTA Birthday Bash originally scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, May 21st. While we are disappointed by the change, the safety and comfort of our students and families remain our top priority.
The event has been rescheduled for Thursday, May 29th, with a rain date of Wednesday, June 4th.
Thank you for your understanding and flexibility.
The basket bash is still on for tomorrow. The location is changed to the auditorium.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Dano & Ms. Pavlick

Dear Fairfield Families,
As we approach the much-anticipated celebration of our Centennial, we are filled with excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to commemorate this historic milestone with all of you. We have been working diligently to ensure a memorable and meaningful event for our students, staff, families, and community.
As we prepare for this special day, we would like to share our contingency plan in the event of inclement weather on the morning of Wednesday, May 21. While we had originally scheduled Thursday, May 22 as a rain date, the current forecast for that day is not favorable. As a result, we will not be utilizing the rain date. We will be monitoring the weather forecast closely up until the morning of the event. Should it be raining, we will implement the following adjustments to our program:
-The Centennial Program and Parade will be moved indoors and will be held exclusively for invited guests.
-While we regret that the general public will not be able to attend the indoor program and parade in person, we will be recording the events and sharing a video link so that all families can enjoy the celebration virtually.
-We are also collaborating with our PTA on the details of the PTA Birthday Bash, and we are pleased to confirm that the PTA Basket Raffle will continue rain or shine.

The situation was handled with the utmost care and efficiency. We understand that seeing an ambulance and medical professionals at school can be concerning. We want to emphasize that the safety and health of our students and staff are our top priorities. We are grateful for the response of the emergency services. Thank you for your understanding.
