Welcome to Lockhart Elementary
Courage, Character, Charity, Community
At Lockhart Elementary School, we are more than a school. We are a family. Together, we create a caring, safe, and inclusive environment where every child is known, valued, and supported. We are committed to meeting the academic, social, and emotional needs of each student, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive.
Through meaningful learning experiences, we inspire students to grow, achieve, and discover their unique strengths. We foster a culture of respect, kindness, and responsibility, helping our students develop a genuine appreciation for themselves and others. By building strong relationships and encouraging curiosity, creativity, and perseverance, we make school a fun, exciting, and engaging place where all students can learn, grow, and succeed.
We believe that a well-rounded education extends beyond the classroom. We provide enriching special area instruction in Physical Education, Music, Art, and Library, allowing students to explore their interests, develop new talents, and build important life skills. In addition, our after-school clubs and extracurricular activities offer opportunities for students to connect with peers, pursue their passions, and grow as leaders. These experiences help create a vibrant school community where every child can discover, participate, and thrive.
As we nurture the whole child, we strive to instill the values of kindness, respect, and compassion in everything we do. We believe that character is just as important as achievement and that students who treat others with dignity, empathy, and understanding will make a positive difference in the world. As beloved children's author Roald Dahl wrote, "Somewhere inside all of us is the power to change the world." We encourage every student to recognize their potential and use their talents to contribute positively to their school, community, and beyond.
Together as the Lockhart family, we empower every child to reach their full potential and become respectful, confident, and compassionate lifelong learners.
