Recently, the students in Mrs. Garcia’s 5th grade class and Mrs. Sicignano’s class came together for a special learning experience about Flag Day and why it’s important. Mrs. Garcia’s fifth graders read books to the students in Mrs. Sicignano’s class. Then, both classes worked together to explore the meaning behind the flag’s colors, stars, and stripes.
The Mrs. Garcia’s students helped their buddies cut and glue red, white, and blue stars to create decorations for the upcoming Flag Day celebration, which will be held on Friday at East Lake Elementary School!
By working together, the students showed teamwork, respect, and a love for learning. Great job to everyone in Mrs. Garcia’s and Mrs. Sicignano’s classes for making Flag Day so special!
