East Lake Grade 2 Publishing Party

East Lake Elementary students in Mrs. Lindroth's 2nd grade class celebrated the completion of their nonfiction books with a publishing party. Each student selected a topic they were passionate about and conducted research on it. Using their findings, they created nonfiction books, incorporating various nonfiction text features to present their information clearly and engagingly. During the celebration, each student had the opportunity to read a page from their book aloud to their classmates and invited guests, including faculty and staff members. This sharing session allowed students to showcase their hard work and creativity. After the readings, everyone exchanged positive feedback notes, highlighting the strengths and unique aspects of each book. The day was filled with smiles and excitement as students proudly shared their accomplishments and received encouragement from their peers and teachers. It was a wonderful way to celebrate their learning and creativity! It was a fantastic way to foster a love for reading and writing in young students!
