As we begin planning for the 2026–2027 school year, we are excited to invite families to express interest in joining one or more Birch Lane PTA committees.
Attached you will find the PTA Committee Interest Form, which provides families with the opportunity to indicate the committees they are interested in serving on for the upcoming school year. Our PTA is entirely volunteer-run, and the continued success of our programs, events, and initiatives is made possible through the dedication and support of our school community.
Please note the following important information:
The Committee Interest Form will close on July 15, 2026
Committee placements and finalized committee lists will be communicated after the form closes
Completing the form and requesting specific committees does not guarantee placement on those committees
Additionally, in order to serve on a PTA committee, members will be required to attend a minimum of three (3) PTA General Meetings throughout the school year, either in person or via Zoom.
Due to the significant planning and volunteer commitment involved, families interested in serving on the Field Day Committee must also participate on two (2) additional PTA committees during the school year.
We encourage all families to consider getting involved. Whether you can volunteer occasionally or take on a larger role, your participation helps us continue creating enriching experiences and memorable events for our students and families.
Thank you for your continued support of the Birch Lane community!
Warm regards,
Lauren Carollo

Join us for tropical fun featuring BBQ food, delicious treats, games, crafts and special luau entertainment!
As a special thank you to all the families that supported our PTA this year, the outstanding fundraising efforts have made it possible for us to make the Luau FREE for Birch Lane Students. All parents and siblings must purchase a $10 ticket. Everyone needs a ticket (even the free tickets!) as we need a full headcount! Reminder, this is not a drop off event, and also no bicycles will be permitted inside the gates.

In our school district, students receive new Chromebooks in grades K, 5, and 9. For students entering 5th grade, devices are usually distributed at the end of 4th grade.
This year, due to delays in device availability, your child will receive their new Chromebook at the beginning of 5th grade.
We will share more information after the start of the new school year.
Thank you,
The Massapequa School District
