Have you heard the big news from our tiny authors? Mrs. Jones and Mrs. Gaynor joined forces to transform their classroom into a bustling Pop-Up Bookstore to celebrate their writers' very first published personal narratives! After weeks of drafting and illustrating, their young writers stepped into their new roles as both authors and editors. Each writer selected a classmate’s story to read, offering thoughtful feedback on "the big three" of kindergarten writing: punctuation, word spacing, and capitalization. To toast their hard work the published authors used their hard-earned classroom currency to visit the Classroom Café for a celebratory treat of chocolate milk and donuts.
It was a morning of sweet stories and even sweeter successes, proving that even the smallest voices have big tales to tell.
