The Heart of a Story

The Jones, George, and Gaynor Bookstore's grand opening was a smash hit! The bookstore buzzed with excitement as our little readers thoroughly enjoyed picking out personal narrative books written by their classmates.  Personal narratives foster self-expression, build confidence, and develop early literacy skills, allowing them to connect their experiences and emotions to language.

After selecting a book, they paid for it and then eagerly began reading their exciting stories. They then shared what they loved about the book by filling out a 'DONUT forget to give feedback' form. Once they shared their reviews, they enjoyed delicious chocolate milk and donuts together.

The bookstore created a warm sense of community as the children connected over shared stories and treats.

This grand opening was a huge success, thanks to Mrs. Jones, Mrs. George, and Mrs. Gaynor!
