Mrs. Marin's second graders have been learning all about citizenship, elections, voting, and the democratic process! To bring their learning into action, they held their very own Cookie Election! 🍪🗳️

The two candidates were the Oreo cookie and the Milano cookie. Students learned about each candidate, listened to their classmates' opinions, and then cast their own secret ballots for the cookie they liked best. They each received an "I Voted" sticker to celebrate their participation. Together, the class counted the votes and announced the winner - the OREO COOKIE!

It was a fun and delicious way to learn about candidates, make informed choices, vote, and see how every vote counts!
