The fourth grade students were excited to invite a special guest to attend their "Writing Celebration" on Friday, March 6th. Each student selected a natural disaster, such as tsunamis, hurricanes, wildfires, etc. that they found interesting. Next, they spent several weeks researching the topic and organizing their findings. Finally, the students took their research and compiled it into an expert book on the program "Book Creator." The projects included several chapters and text features such as maps and diagrams. Each child chose the page that they were most proud of and presented it to all of the guests. It was a great way to celebrate all their hard work!
