On January 9th, Unqua showed their appreciation for the service and sacrifice of Law Enforcement in our community. Law officers from various branches, including the Mounted Police, the Bomb Squad, and the Canine Unit, visited our school and shared what they do with our students and staff. Students wore blue along with the staff who also wore NYPD hats that were provided by PBA President Hendry. Unqua Student Council created banners and goody bags for the presenters. In addition, there were refreshments from the PTA and one of our Daisy Troops. It was a whole school effort to show support and gratitude for our law enforcement and all they do to keep us safe. Thank you to all of these heroes.
