In a heartfelt celebration of Flag Day, the Massapequa Elks Club presented various versions of the American Flag to third, fourth, and fifth graders at Birch Lane Elementary School. Selected 5th grade student readers who participate in our Student Government club, shared insights about the significance and evolution of each flag as they were introduced. The ceremony was enriched by performances from the Birch Lane band, chorus, and orchestra, which played patriotic songs. Mr. Molloy concluded the event with a medley of patriotic music on the bagpipes. To honor this special day, students and staff proudly wore red, white, and blue, expressing their appreciation for the American Flag.
