Who doesn't love to watch circus performers?? Students at McKenna Elementary were treated to quite a show! Thanks to the McKenna PTA, the National Circus Project came to the McKenna stage to entertain our students with a kick off assembly.
After watching the assembly, students in all grade levels spent their Physical Education classes learning core skills through supervised hands-on activities to assist them in mastering different circus tricks.
Students worked with performers from the National Circus Project to learn different tricks such as flower stick balancing, plate spinning, stilt walking, yo-yo tossing and juggling. This gave students the opportunity to learn patience, self-discipline and good practice habits, all while having fun!
