Word Art Spreads Joy at McKenna

McKenna Elementary School’s young artists worked on a collaborative project to fill the school with positivity.

Under the direction of teacher Melanie Sabia, students in grades 1-5 worked on the one word project during their art classes. Every group was tasked with selecting a short word that described the school or the student body. Words included cool, great, love and smart. Each student in the group completed an artistic rendering of one of the letters.

The completed words were hung throughout the building to bring an even greater sense of pride among McKenna’s students, faculty and staff.
