Kindergartners at Birch Lane Elementary School wanted to do something special for their moms, so they enlisted the help of some older friends. Their fifth grade tech buddies came to the classroom to help them create digital Mother’s Day cards.
Students in Tara Mathers’ kindergarten class used Google Slides to make cards that featured a picture of the child along with hearts filled with words that characterized their moms. Ms. Mathers said that her students have been learning about adjectives and this allowed them to use those descriptive words in a meaningful way.
Fifth graders from Lauren Marocchi’s class, who are very familiar with Google Slides and the different features on the Chromebooks, came to lend a helping hand.
