Recently students at McKenna Elementary School joined 563,283 children in 75 nations who participated in Global School Play Day 2020! It began after a group of educators who watched Dr. Peter Gray's TEDx emphasizing the importance of PLAY! This program encourages children to put down their electronic devices and JUST PLAY. Play board games, card games and games outside such as tag, hopscotch, stick-ball, stoop-ball etc. During the past week, all children at McKenna had the opportunity to play art-related board and card games during their art class.
