Every story has a beginning, a middle and an end, a concept that kindergartners recently used in their writing at Lockhart Elementary School.
The kindergarten classes recently hosted an author celebration after the youngsters published their first pieces. During their “How Writer’s Work” unit, students learned basic writing elements like sight words and story structure, studied components of books such as titles and illustrations and practiced the editing and revision process.
Students shared their personal narrative stories with their classmates, teachers and special guests on Nov. 19. Among the visitors were Lockhart and central office administrators.
