Fairfield’s Scooter Highway in P.E.

During a recent physical education class, Coach Poetsch, Coach DelGiacco and student teacher Coach B. introduced the students to the use of scooters as a fun and engaging way to promote physical activity. The coaches started by demonstrating the correct techniques for riding, emphasizing safety and balance. The gym was transformed into the "Scooter Highway," featuring various obstacles for the students to navigate, including a single lane, merging sections, potholes, detours, tunnels, and railroad crossings. As students took turns gliding around the gym, the teachers emphasized the numerous benefits of scooter activities, including enhanced coordination, increased muscle strength, and improved endurance. Scooters encourage physical activity for students of all ages and abilities. By the end of the class, students not only improved their physical skills but also had a great time in the process.
