Physical education teachers at Berner Middle School are using technology to enhance instruction about health and fitness.
In the fitness center, where students rotate through the different machines, they also have a stop at the Word Wall. On the electronic display board, they can play different interactive games to reinforce their knowledge of physical education content. Students can label the muscles of the body or match exercises with the muscle group, among other activities.
Technology learning coach Meredith Marin said that the content is presented in different formats, such as trivia questions, labeling diagrams and matching and sorting games.
