Four world language students from Massapequa High School’s Ames Campus were award winners in a pair of creative contests.
Three ninth graders placed in the high school division of the New York State Association of Foreign Language Teachers Video Contest. Caitlyn S. won second place in the language advocacy category and Julia R. and Caitlyn K. placed third in authentic speaking.
Olivia C. was a top three finisher in the high school category of the Design-A-Card contest hosted by the Long Island chapter of the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese. The four students are in Yoshana Silver’s Spanish classes.
