Multicultural Club raises money for Jambo Jipya School and Reason2Smile.

This year the Multicultural Club has been helping to raise money for the Reason2Smile organization and the Jambo Jipya School in Mwtapa, Kenya.  Members of the club have been meeting in the library to make bracelets from recycled paper beads for family members and friends.  Reason2Smile goes to schools to teach students how to make the bracelets and about what they can do to make a difference in their schools and communities. Students then teach others how to make the bracelets and the cost for two bracelets is five dollars.  Anyone can make them and this is and was a wonderful opportunity to support the children in Mwtapa.  100% of the proceeds provide educational opportunities for the children in need and support the 20 children living at the children’s home in the school.  With these donations, the children at the Jambo Jipya children’s home receive food, clothing and healthcare.  It is never too late to make a donation.  For more information, you can go to http://www.reason2smile.org or you can come to the Ames library and speak to Mrs. King.
