Clubs & Activities

Arts & Crafts Club: Grades 3 and 4

  • Advisor: Mrs. Hughes

Come and explore your creative side at "The Arts and Crafts Club". We will create crafts using different materials including tempera and watercolor paints, crayons, watercolor markers, tissue paper, etc. Some projects will be seasonal in nature and others will explore new techniques and/or the use of different materials. There may be 3 sessions due to group size limitations.

Chess & Other Games of Strategy Club: Grades 4 and 5

  • Advisor: Mrs. Moran

Do you enjoy strategy games like Battleship and Risk? Then chess might be perfect for you! No chess experience
needed, but all skill levels welcome! We will meet on Wednesdays for recreational play to learn the game and
    hopefully have some tournaments.

Dear Troops: Grades 3-5

  • Advisor: Mrs. Insinga

This club will focus on writing letters to soldiers and reinforce student’s writing skills. It is important to remember the soldiers who serve our country in wartime and peace. I would also like to create care packages to send to the soldiers and their K-9 partners.

Reading Fun!: Grades K and 1

  • Advisor: Ms. Doherty

The children will learn that reading is fun! After enjoying and engaging in a read-aloud book, they will have the opportunity to read independent books at their level as well as buddy read.

Scrabble Club: Grades 3-5

  • Advisor: Mrs. Whalen

Students will learn the rules of the game Scrabble by playing in groups. Most importantly, students will learn how to spell new words, practice using a dictionary and increase their vocabulary skills. It will challenge them to be creative and strategic all at once. Lastly, we will have fun!

Student Council Club: Grades 4-5

  • Advisors: Mrs. Leder and Ms. Musacchia

The members of Student Council will work together to organize and participate in fundraisers, events, and activities to help those in need. Each month, the students will create posters to advertise upcoming events in order to encourage donations. The students will experience a meaningful contribution when offering their time and efforts to the community. Students will feel a sense of compassion, empathy, and responsibility toward helping children and families in need. Being a part of this club will be memorable for years to come!
