Dear Lockhart Parents and Families,
It is with mixed emotions that I write this letter to all the parents and families of students at Raymond J. Lockhart Elementary School. I wanted to let you know personally about my decision to retire at the end of this school year. This decision is bittersweet; I am sad to be leaving and excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.
Serving as Principal of Lockhart has been a great honor and a defining part of my life.
It has been a pleasure partnering with you and all the other parents, teachers and students that have made my tenure in Massapequa such a pleasure. I truly believe that we have a group of talented and passionate teachers and staff that together make up this school.
I appreciate the many, many memories I have made together with the students and teachers over the years. I will always feel a part of the Lockhart family. Finally, I would like to thank Mrs. Lucille Iconis, Superintendent of Schools and the Massapequa Board of Education and, most of all, the Massapequa families, for the opportunity to work toward the success of each and every child at our school.
As always, I thank you for your support of Lockhart and our collective mission.
Stephen Scarallo, Principal
