Business Education

  • The objective of Business Education is for all students to develop an awareness of the world of work, explore career options, and relate personal skills, aptitudes, and abilities to future career decisions.  Students will gain an understanding and the ability to demonstrate how academic content is applied in real-world and workplace settings.  A Business Education in the Massapequa School District will provide students with the necessary educational experiences to enable them to make better career choices by preparing them for the world of business and/or college studies by having each student demonstrate a mastery of the foundation skills and competencies essential for success in the workplace and/or advanced college-based studies.

Business students are also provided the opportunity to earn 15 college credits and a five (5) credit sequence in Business as an alternative to the three (3) credit requirement in a World Languages and the Comprehensive Regents examination in a World Languages for a Regents diploma with Advanced Designation.
