Science

  • The science program in the Massapequa School District is designed to encourage critical thinking, problem solving and curiosity.  Students are prepared for upper-level courses by integrating science education with other curricular areas in the elementary schools, providing a rigorous middle school course of study and many options for all learners at the high school level.

The district offers all AP science courses available as well as College Forensic Technology, College Anatomy and Physiology, and College Oceanography.  There are many elective courses such as Marine Science, Environmental Science and for students in grade 9 - Science Research, Laboratory Skills for Research and Meteorology.
