Project Zero

‘Project Zero’ is a prestigious program conducted at the Harvard Graduate School of Education in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Massapequa teachers and administrators from the elementary and middle school levels have participated in this week-long institute. The program brings together hundreds of educators from around the globe to learn in a collegial setting.
Challenge Day

On Challenge Day Students in Ames High School open up to each other during Challenge Day, an anti-bullying program designed to create transformation through compassion. The program is held for five days, with about 100 students participating each day.
Yale Ruler Institute

The Yale RULER approach will be incorporated into the curriculum to better address social and emotional needs in the school setting. RULER is an evidence-based approach to emotional intelligence that will be piloted at Berner Middle School with the goal of eventually expanding to all schools in the district.
