Massapequa High School Student Advisory Council

Student Advisory Council

  • The Student Advisory Council has been a committee of the Massapequa School District Board of Education since 1971. Facilitated by the District Curriculum Office in collaboration with the Principals of Massapequa High School Main and Ames Campus, the committee consists of students who are actively involved in leadership roles as class officers or through the General Student Organization.

The Student Advisory Council meets approximately five times a year, generally prior to the start of the school day, and has particularly over the past few years, focused on a specific mission aligned with a goal of the Board of Education. Last year, and continuing this current school year, the focus has been a review of the District Code of Conduct as we implement the various aspects of The Dignity Act.
