Tri-M Music Honor Society

  • The Tri-M Music Honor Society is the international music honor society for high school students. It is designed to recognize students for their academic and musical achievements, reward them for their accomplishments and service activities, and to inspire other students to excel in music and leadership. Students must reach rigorous criteria for acceptance into the honor society. Tri-M is a program of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME)

     
    Eligibility criteria for membership, with inductions in the fall:
    • Currently be enrolled in a Massapequa High School or Ames credit-bearing music  course
    • Have a NYSSMA score of Level V or VI, 90 or higher
    • Have an A average or higher in your previous year’s music classes
    • Have a report card average of B or higher
    • Demonstrate leadership, service, and character
    • Have the endorsement of a current Massapequa school music teacher
