The Great South Bay YMCA, in partnership with the Massapequa School District, is pleased to provide a New York State-licensed Before and After School Child Care Program.

• The programs are available for children in grades K-5 with site locations at each elementary school. 
• The program provides a safe and caring environment for school-age children of working parents. 
• Supervision is provided by the YMCA professional staff members.
• The YMCA offers a wide variety of daily activities including: arts & crafts, sports, field trips, special events, cooking, homework time, snack time and much, much more.
• There is a 3-day and a 5-day option.
• Hours before school: 7:00 AM
• Hours after school: Dismissal - 6:00 PM

Registration has begun for the 2024-2025 YMCA SACC Program for all current families in the program.

• Any current family that has an incoming Kindergartner is grandfathered in and may register when the sibling registers.
• You may only register for the days that your current child is enrolled in for the 2023-2024 school year.
• If you need to make any changes or add days, please indicate that on the registration form where asked.
• If you did not receive the email that was sent out with the registration forms, please email us at massapequaysaccprogram@ymcali.org and someone will respond back with the registration forms for you.
• All registration forms are to be submitted by email to massapequaysaccprogram@ymcali.org only by Friday, February 2, 2024.
• We will not accept any registration forms hand-delivered to the site directors or emailed to the directors of the program. 

NEW POLICY:  YMCA SACC will be accepting requests from new families on a first come, first serve basis starting March 6, 2024. 
Please note, YMCA SACC has eliminated the lottery process used in years past.

If you are looking for Before/After Care for your child for the 2024-2025 school year, the YMCA has a program at each of the elementary schools here in Massapequa.

We will be accepting requests on a first come, first serve basis on March 6, 2024. We have done away with the lottery as in years past.

The procedure for the request will go as follows, on March 6, 2024, not prior to this date:

• From the 2024-2025 YMCA Before & After School Program Flyer, please scan the QR code.
• Once you scan the QR code, it will take you to the YMCA website for the Massapequa program.
• Here you will find the inquiry form that is to be filled out between March 6, 2024, starting at 9:00 am till 6:00 pm on March 7, 2024. The form will not be available prior to this time.
• Once the YMCA receives all requests, a confirmation email will go out on March 9, 2024 letting you know that we received your request.
• This request does not guarantee a spot. Our goal is to serve as many families as possible in the program. 
• Based on availability at sites, we will award space in the program where space is available.
• We will notify everyone with an answer after April 2, 2024.
