The District’s Reading Support Program provides students in grades K-12 with the differentiated literacy instruction necessary to master essential strategies and skills inherent in successful reading and learning. In this regard, reading specialists work collaboratively with classroom and content teachers to ensure that the literacy needs of individual students are met. The mission of the Reading Department is to cultivate independent, self-motivated readers, whose lives are enriched through the written word.
