Teaching, Administration and Substitute Teaching
These positions require certification by the state of New York. This category includes administrators, teachers, teacher assistants, and pupil personnel staff. All applicants must possess valid New York State certification commensurate with the position sought in order to be considered. The Massapequa Union Free School District utilizes OLAS to apply for all certificated job applications.
This category includes all clerical, monitor, food service, custodial, and security positions. These positions are governed by Nassau County Civil Service Law and procedures, and may include a competitive Civil Service test. In most cases, Nassau County Civil Service requires one year of Nassau County residency.
